Featured in the January issue of Forbes: 'Facing Representation in Until Society Changes'

Press release:

Rika Nakamura Holden, the representative of the civic engagement–driven advertising ethics project Towards Change, was interviewed for the January issue of Forbes, and the article has now been published.

This interview appears in Forbes WOMAN as part of its series highlighting “Women Taking on New Challenges”. In it, Rika speaks candidly about her work addressing controversial advertisements and advertising ethics, as well as the often unseen 'darker sides' of the emotional and social challenges inherent in this field.

Addressing inflammatory advertising and problematic representations is never easy; it is a process full of dilemmas. Nevertheless, Rika reflects on her experiences and discusses the importance of re-examining the relationship between society and advertising through dialogue, as well as the value of incorporating citizens' voices into the advertising creation process.
